Red Activities Day

The event kicks off with the Red Activities Day on Monday, which allows delegates to choose between a number of activities including golf, gel blasting and a private cruise on a heritage-listed 117-year-old sailing vessel. Following the activities, the official Ice Breaker will commence in the evening at Xperiences HQ (Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort), which provide the perfect environment for a night with lots of fun, networking and games for attendees.

Red Activities Day is proudly sponsored by Pryda Australia, Meyer Timber and Vekta Automation.

The Official Ice Breaker

The conference kicks off with our traditional Ice Breaker event, this year hosted at the fantastic Xperiences site at Twin Waters. And in true FTMA fashion, we’re adding a twist, a light-hearted “Survivor” themed challenge.

Upon arrival, delegates will be divided into tribes and issued their bandanas to proudly wear for the evening:

  • Red Tribe – Pryda staff and their manufacturers
  • Green Tribe – Multinail staff and their manufacturers
  • Blue Tribe – MiTek staff and their manufacturers
  • Purple Tribe – Everyone else joining the adventure

Don’t worry — there’s no risk of being voted off the island. But there will be plenty of opportunities to test your skills and enjoy the great outdoors.

The evening will feature archery, paintball target shooting and axe throwing, great food, cold beverages and plenty of time to reconnect with industry colleagues and friends.

Because we’ll be outside, we encourage delegates to dress comfortably and bring warm clothing so you can enjoy the evening around the fires.

Location: Xperiences HQ, Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort
Time: 6.00pm – 9.00pm
Dress Code: Survivor

Activities

Golf at Twin Waters Golf Club

Twin Waters Golf Club is a sportsperson’s dream. The course is internationally recognized as one of the top six resort courses in Australia – naturally it’s the best on the Sunshine Coast. The 18-hole, par 72 championship course was designed by five times British Open champion Peter Thomson and partner Mike Wolveridge. The stunning setting and challenging layout combine to produce an enjoyable game of golf for all players.

The day will be run in the format of 4 Person Ambrose where – each player hits off the tee, the best shot is selected and all other players pick up their ball and place it, within one handspan, alongside the best ball. Each person then hits a second shot from the same spot. This process is repeated until the ball is holed.

Groups will tee off between 11am and 12pm. Picnic Lunch Pack included.

Cost: $165 (inc. GST)
